The British Fashion Council has announced the winners of The Fashion Award 2016. The American fashion designer Ralph Lauren received the Outstanding Achievement Award. This was reported in a press release received by the editors of "Lenta.ru" on Tuesday, December 6.
The ceremony took place on December 5 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, bringing together over 4,000 guests, including Anna Wintour, Karin Roitfeld, David Beckham, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Kate Moss, Lady Gaga, Lara Stone, Marilyn Manson, Mario Testino, Nadia Swarovski, Naomi Campbell, Salma Hayek Pino, Tom Ford and many others.

Through tireless work in design, innovation, business and philanthropy, Lauren has become one of the key figures in the global fashion community.

The American company Ralph Lauren Corporation was founded in 1967. The first boutique opened in 1969 in New York in Manhattan. Now the brand produces clothing, accessories, perfumes, luxury goods, and household goods.
Lauren is one of the richest residents in the United States. Forbes magazine estimates his fortune at $ 6.2 billion. In the fall of 2015, Lauren announced his resignation from the post of head of the fashion house, leaving behind the position of creative director of the brand.
