Loneliness is a problem of all times and peoples. In the era of information technology, people who for some reason cannot find their soul mate are increasingly registering on dating sites. These services offer an attractive scenario: in a short period of time, they promise you to pick up a bride / groom, make new friends, or just have a good time. And all this - without much effort on your part.

But not everything is so simple. Gullible or desperate people can easily fall for the tricks of scammers hiding behind fictitious names and invented stories. What are the dangers of dating sites?

A friend from behind bars. Communication can start both on the Internet and in dating services by phone. After that, the conversations must be transferred to the telephone format. Then you are asked to top up your mobile account. First, once for a small amount, then the amount and frequency of requests grow. It is quite possible that an acquaintance is in prison, and he tells you a completely different story, for example, about a long business trip.

State of emergency. You like virtual communication with a new acquaintance, he gradually enters your circle of trust. Suddenly, some troubles occur in his life that require financial assistance, preferably yours (lost his wallet, robbed, kicked out of a rented apartment, etc.).

Distant, but dear. Virtual communication starts easily and naturally. Soon it begins to seem to you that the interlocutor may turn out to be your soul mate. But an unexpected obstacle appears - distance. A person lives in another country or on the opposite side of the city, but he has no money for a ticket or taxi. Having received the required amount, he disappears from your life and removes the profile from the dating site.

Let's have lunch? The scheme is simple: after a short correspondence, a young man invites a friend to a cafe or restaurant. After having a good dinner, he allegedly retires to the restroom, but in fact escapes. As a result, the girl has to pay the bill for two. Students often resort to this fraudulent method.

Mediator. Sometimes, entire organizations can be hidden behind a profile on a dating site. Instead of the person with whom you allegedly corresponded and made an appointment, you will see a marriage counselor. He will explain the misunderstanding by the extreme busyness of his "client" and will offer you to pay for a "guaranteed" meeting with him.

How not to fall into the network of a marriage swindler?

A fraudster can be recognized by several signs: he has little information in his profile (less to remember - it's easier to lie), only one photo (someone else's) and he is in no hurry to send new ones, he sends answers to template questions quickly (blank), and answers to others briefly and reluctantly. Do not tell the person your personal data: full name, passwords, email, card numbers. Do not give links to social networks where there are your photos, addresses, indicating the places you visit. Scammers are very insidious and can get information where you don't see anything dangerous. Do not build illusions, do not allow yourself to fall in love by correspondence and "finish" the person with those qualities that he does not have. More often than not, these tricks fall for women whose hearts are broken by scammers.
