Casual footwear and accessories brand Ecco has introduced a new material - transparent leather. ProFashion will announce this on Tuesday, May 2.

The development was carried out by specialists from the Dutch laboratory of the company, for several years they studied the Egyptian and Greek methods of tanning leather. According to representatives of the brand, the new material can be used to create bags, shoes and clothing: from jackets to shirts.
“It is a futuristic material that retains the properties we know, love and expect from leather, while adding new qualities to it. Thus, we focused on transparent skin,”said creative director Siruli Rakht. At the moment, products have already been released in amber, light green, brown-orange, black, red and ivory.
The Ecco brand was founded in 1963 in Bredebro (Denmark) by Karl Tusby and is still owned by his family members. Produces classic, casual and sports footwear and accessories for men, women and children. The company's factories are located in Portugal, Indonesia, Thailand, Slovakia and China.
