A few days before the start of New York Fashion Week, it became known that the year of the 15th anniversary of the brand name Zach Posen will begin by replacing the traditional show at NYFW with a photo exhibition of works by Vanina Sorrenti, which captured Posen's favorite muses - from Coco Roche to Lindsey Wixon is wearing dresses from the Zac Posen fall-winter 2017 collection. Zak is sure: "Photography can convey more powerful emotions than a ten-minute show gives, and there is nothing to say about the opportunity to see the details in detail."
On the appointed day and hour, invited to the photo exhibition Naomi Watts, Susan Sarandon, Olivia Culpo and others gathered at 13 17 Lay Street in Soho. Here, in the designer's studio, which he occupied for 13 years, until two years ago he moved closer to the center, everything happened. The designer presented to his guests not only photographs of models in Zac Posen dresses. Together with the guests, the models "descended" from them posed against the background of large-scale photo canvases - in the very sculptural draperies, heavy velvet and floral embroidery that they show in the photo. The first trial of the new format was successful, so the designer plans to stick with it for the next several seasons.
Recall that the photo exhibition on February 14 is just the beginning of a hot year for Posen. After a series of jubilee celebrations, the world will see a documentary film about the life and work of the designer, which will be released under the title "House Z", and his first cookbook will be ready by the fall.
